"Shattered Dreams" at SMBA

Last week I had the privilege of being a part of the "Shattered Dreams" program at San Marcos Baptist Academy. Shattered Dreams is a drunk driving prevention program conducted at High Schools across Texas. It involves staging a crash scene somewhere on campus and allowing the students to see the events that take place immediately after an alcohol-related accident. There is the drunk driver, injured students and casualties of the wreck. The purpose of Shattered Dreams is to present students with the real consequences of making the poor choice to drink and drive. I believe this is an outstanding program and I am happy to have been asked to help.

The following is a very well-made video of the crash scene. WARNING: It is graphic. All the events are fake, but they can still be disturbing to younger viewers.

This next video is a recording of events that took place inside the ambulance and hospital. WARNING: It's graphic as well.

This is the final video of Shattered Dreams. It depicts what happened to the student who was arrested for drunk driving.
